School!

I have started my senior year! After a full week of classes, I think this year/semester is going to be good. I like my classes and they should be interesting. I'm only taking 4 and one meets only on Wednesdays. Coincidentally, the one day a week class is probably my hardest. It is my senior seminar class. It is my senior paper; 20-25 pages of writing and all that entails. I'm writing about journalism in the US during US involvement in WWI. I have some narrowing to do, hopefully this weekend, but overall I feel good. I'm also getting 6 credits for it because I have to do the Civitas final writing thing at the same time. Other than that, I'm taking German conversation and composition (which I should be working on right now), Imagining Antiquity (because they cancelled my modern Europe class), and modern US History (subject: equality; professor: awesome).

In addition to course work this semester, I'm playing intramural volleyball, tutoring math, mentoring incoming Civitas freshmen, and (drum roll, please) am vice-president of the German club! That last one was a spur of the moment decision when one of my friends asked if I wanted to be an officer with her (she's president). My other non-school activity is doing maid-of-honor-y stuff for my BFF's wedding! SUPER EXCITED!!!

Quick Grad School Update: If you're following my quest for a grad school, here's what I've done: nothing. Yeah, I need to get my game together. The University of York application doesn't open until October 22, so I have some time. Soonish I'm going to make sure I have everything ready to submit and then look at other schools.

Good Luck to my big sis as she starts her Master's of Public Health program at Columbia in NYC!!!
