So this is the beginning!
I started this blog because next semester (Spring 2012), I will be in Washington, D.C. and this is a way for me to keep people informed.
A little about the title. It is part of a quote from Ursula K. LeGuin, "It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end." The quote works for two reasons. First, I love quotes. Adore them really. Second, not only is this going to be about my journey to D.C. and further in my education but my journey through life.
Now the program:
For 14 weeks I will be interning and taking classes as part of a consortium of colleges in D.C. I get credit for the semester (I'm not sure what I have to do yet...). There is also a day for field trips (yay field trips!).
Why this is AWESOME!
For the past few years I have wanted to end up in D.C. after I finish school. Last year around this time I learned about this program. It is basically my dream semester. Today I received an email telling me I was accepted.
And so the journey begins!
